近年来，采用(yòng)轻钢结构与U形玻璃作外墙的建筑在國(guó)内外已被广泛应用(yòng)于工厂、物(wù)流仓库、展览馆、飞机库等建筑。

     所谓轻钢结构就是以薄壁型钢，如：“C”型钢，“Z”型钢，方管钢等作建筑的檩条和圈梁，以焊接“H”型钢做柱与梁，现场用(yòng)螺栓或焊接的门式钢架组成建筑的骨架，同时采用(yòng)U形玻璃作围护材料的一种建筑。

     整个建筑具有(yǒu)自重轻，建设周期短，适应性强。由于自重轻，自然也降低了基础造价，同时更具有(yǒu)外表厚实稳重，美观透光的特点，所以也降低了建筑采光的费用(yòng)。

     U形玻璃是90年代从國(guó)外引进的产品，它的截面為(wèi)“U”形，自身具有(yǒu)很(hěn)好的刚性和强度，具有(yǒu)一定宽度的玻璃杆件，安装时可(kě)以方便灵活地将玻璃相互搭扣进入钢结构的框架，组成一道中空保温的透光墙體(tǐ)。

     在德國(guó)的杜塞尔多(duō)夫火車(chē)站，科(kē)隆的立體(tǐ)停車(chē)库，由于它的造型独特，加上U形玻璃使空间得到了扩展，有(yǒu)一种特别清新(xīn)的感觉。

     尤其是荷兰建筑设计师维尔?阿雷兹对U性玻璃有(yǒu)许多(duō)创新(xīn)的设计，给人以强大的视觉冲击。我國(guó)采用(yòng)这种钢结构与U形玻璃组合的建筑在各地也有(yǒu)广泛的应用(yòng)，如青岛的颐中烟厂，云南红塔基地，鞍钢。（参见图片）

     改革开放30年，我國(guó)的经济实力得到空前的提高，全國(guó)各地城乡建设也有(yǒu)了飞快的发展，追求现代的，时尚的各类建筑拔地而起，采用(yòng)钢结构的建筑也应运而生，吸引國(guó)外轻钢结构厂商(shāng)如Butler,BHP,ABC等纷纷进入中國(guó)市场，无疑也刺激了我國(guó)企业奋起直追，相信我國(guó)的钢结构厂商(shāng)会抓住这个大好机会同我们一起合作，设计一批轻钢结构与U形玻璃相结合的优秀建筑。
